How do you plan an epic, in person fundraiser, in the middle of a Minnesotan winter?!
Here are some things to keep in mind.
Most of the year, it's going to be cold.
Minnesotan's know most of the year is winter.
Minnesotans are kind (also known as Minnesotan nice!)
Minnesotants are generous.
Minnesotants can stand very cold temperatures and still be decent people.
Minnesotants can be spotted wearing tshirts and sometimes shorts in 30 degrees faranheit weather.
So, since we know it will be cold most of the year, in Minnesota and Minnesotan's are nice and tough....why not plan an epic fundraiser outdoors...in the middle of winter?

This is how we came up with an idea for what we hope will be an annual fundraiser. With hour background in construction and a good portion of our network being in the construction industry, we are going to have a fundraiser called "The Contractor Games". Our tag line will be "Bad#!* Builders Build to Build Others"
Justin came up with the concept and I ran with it. He didn't have to say exactly what he had in mind, because by the time he said the first sentence, I had envisioned an entire epic event. There would be axes, blocks. power tools, fires grilling and more! I was convinced we could ask at least 5 local business to sponsor the event. Somehow we would have the coolest areal shots of sexy contractors for our advertisements of the event. My mind went wild! So many ideas. How were we going to fund the event. No problem, there was no budget. Not in the "Money is no problem way" more in the way of currently we don't have the money, but fully believing we could come up with the funds for the fundraiser.
Currently, we are still in the planning phase. STAY TUNED for more!
Live generously,
